Temple of the Spider Queen and Masterwork Weapons

Hail Adventurers,

It is I Zefflorin the faithful scribe of Neverwinter for NOR. I am here to update you all on the latest in regards to the Temple of the Spider Queen (Master) and the requirements of needing Masterwork weapons to complete it. Temple of the Spider Queen (Master) drops Cabochen Gems and Brilliant Cabochon Gems which are needed to purchase the latest endgame items from the Northern Reaches campaign store. First off to be able to open ToSQ(Mst) you must have over 75,000 item level and from those who have gone before us and accomplished completing the dungeon it is highly recommended the party be outfitted with Masterwork weapons. These weapons, which are a set of two per class, give the following abilities: +2% Damage, +2% outgoing healing, and -2% incoming damage, and can stack up to five times. So if everyone is equipped with Masterwork weapon sets then +10% damage, +10% outgoing healing and -10% incoming damage. Now how do you get these magical weapons? Well you can spend close to 1 million Astral Diamonds for a normal set, or 3 million AD on a +1 set on the AH, or you can craft them.

To be able to craft these mystical weapons you need to be at least Chultan Masterwork Level II in certain fields. Now depending on your class you will need to be either a Armorer, Artificer, Blacksmith or Tailor and probably more than one. To become Chultan Masterwork level II crafter, you first must become Lev 20 in the desired field, then go to the stronghold and purchase level I recipes for 500K AD, then you can purchase level II for 500 K AD, this will also open up Sharandar masterwork which is the next tier. But I digress, once you have the level II recipes you can then make the weapons. Ahhh but there is a catch you need to farm the many ingredients for these.

As you can see above there are a multitude of ingredients required. I break these down into four categories. Raw ingredients, Manufactured Ingredients, Purchased Ingredients and Dungeon Drop Ingredients. Raw ingredients come from harvesting in Chult either by killing certain creatures or collecting special untapped resources. First off by killing the Dinosaur you may collect Dinosaur Hide, by killing lions you may collect Lion Hide, by killing Allosaurs you may collect Allosaur Fangs, by killing spiders you may collect Spider silk, and lastly by killing Baitiri you may collect Baitiri Prisms. Now to those untapped resources, to be able to find them and open them you must first purchase a Explorer Case Soshenstar or Explorer Case Omu from a vendor in your stronghold for 1500 guild marks.

Explorer Case

These explorer kit are bound to your account (BTA) and can only be used by you. You need to go to either Soshenstar or Omu and double click on the kit and you will be able to find and harvest 6 untapped resources each delivering 2 ingredients. In Soshenstar you can find Lakh Resin, Bronzewood Logs, Chultan Tea Leaves, and Silkworm Cocoons. In Omu you can find Chultan Spring Water, Samarchan Jute, Brilliant Pinions, Obsidian, and Chultan Wootz. You will need all of these type of ingredients to make your weapon. As of this message, most of these are currently unavailable on the AH.

Next are purchased ingredients. These come form special merchants in the stronghold. They are Tincal (1000 GM per) and Terebinith (400 GM/per) form the Atelier, Red Rouge (1000 GM per) from the Goldsmith, Tanner’s Liquor (1000 GM per) from the Tannery, and lastly Potash (1000 GM per)) from the Tenterground. You will need all of these as well to manufacture your weapons. Some of these are available on the AH.

Next is manufactured ingredients, which are made form the raw ingredients and the purchased ingredients, and each crafting profession has some to make and you will need to make most if not all of them to make your weapons, Therefore you need all seven professions to be chultan masterwork II leveled. As you can see above the Alchemy manufactured ingredient is Lakh Varnish using Lakh Resin and Terbinith so one raw and one purchase to make a manufactured which will be used to make the living varnish.

Lastly is the dungeon drop ingredients which all come form the Temple of the Nine Gods dungeon in Chult. This is a five man dungeon which has a chance (RNG) of dropping the Tear of Ubato or the Mote of Soulfire required to make the weapons. Each class will need either one of each or two of one to make their pair of weapons which will be detailed below.

The crafters

The better your level of crafter, the higher the chance off completing the recipe and the higher the chance of criting the recipe for +1 versions. As you can see above I have purple level crafters in all seven professions.

The Forgehammer of Gond

The better your tool the higher the chance of completing and criting your recipe. This is a artifact tool which can be found in the Challenge of the Gods event.

My chance

Once I have collected and manufactured all the ingredients I will be able to make the weapon. My chance of completing a basic version is 72% and of obtaining a +1 version is 25% which is exceptionally good for this recipe. Below are the weapon sets of each class.

Barbarian Class

Barbarians will need 2 Mote of Soulfire from ToNG, you can purchase a basic set for 1.35 Million AD or 2.677 M AD for a +1 set on the AH.

Bard

Bards will need two Motes of Soulfire, a basic set is 1.93 M AD and a +1 set is 3.755 M AD.

Cleric

Clerics will need a Tear of Ubato and a Mote of Soulfire, a basic set goes for 1.3 M AD and a +1 set is 2.18 M AD.

Fighter

A fighter will need a tear of ubato and a mote of soulfire, basic is 1.67 M AD and a +1 set is 2.95 M AD. Once I have made these and leveled the artifacts up I will add pictures of the higher level.

Paladin

Paladin will need a mote of soulfire and a tear of ubato, basic set is 1.23 M Ad and a +1 set is 2.7 M AD.

Ranger

Rangers will need a a mote of soulfire and a tear of ubato, basic is 1.2 M AD and a +1 set is 2.32 M AD.

Rogue

Rogues will need two motes of soulfire, basic set is 1.53 M AD and a +1 set is 3.06 M AD

Warlock

Warlock will need two tears of ubato, basic set is 1.22 M AD and a +1 set is 1.64 M AD.

Wizard

Wizards will need two tears of ubato, a basic set will be 1.08 M AD and a +1 set is 1.6 M AD.

Now I leveled all my crafters to Chultan Masterwork Level II and am able to make all the manufactured ingredients, and in the process of harvesting raw ingredients. I am willing if not eager to take orders from guildies requisitioning these weapons, the only thing I ask is that you harvest your own ToNG drop ingredients. Shava and I are in the process of trying to set up some ToNG runs for folks. As well any help you can provide harvesting the raw ingredients will be greatly appreciated. All of the ingredients, raw, manufactured, purchased and dropped can NOT be stored in a bank, so if you want to send them to me please mail them to Zeffliria in game.
