As we move toward the end of summer and look ahead to autumn’s arrival on September 22, the High Council wants to take a moment to share what’s been happening across our guild spaces. It’s been a busy season behind the scenes, and we’re excited about the direction things are heading as we prepare for the cooler months and the renewed activity they usually bring.

First, you may have noticed a few changes around Discord. We’ve been working steadily to make onboarding smoother for new members, especially those joining us for the first time and trying to find their footing. The goal is simple: when someone joins NOR, they should feel welcomed, oriented, and able to find their Realm without confusion. Alongside that, the Keys & Kegs Tavern have officially shifted into forum-style spaces. It’s become a cozier corner for our streamers, content creators, screenshot artists, and storytellers. A place where people can share what they’re working on, talk shop, or just enjoy the creativity of fellow Norbies. It’s been fun watching that space evolve into something more structured and lively.

Our Realm event calendar channels have also gone forum-style. This will help members better see when and where our events are taking place. We hope everyone takes advantage of this for signups and event attendance.

We also have an officer promotion to celebrate. NOR Elirrind has been elevated to the rank of Baroness in Elder Scrolls Online as of July 18, 2026, and we couldn’t be more pleased. She’s been a steady presence in her Realm, always willing to help, always showing up, always supporting members with patience and kindness. Her promotion reflects not just her reliability, but the genuine care that she brings to the guild. Please take a moment to congratulate her. These milestones matter greatly, and they remind us how strong our leadership bench truly is and the potential that our new officers bring to *NOR/ overall.

With autumn approaching, we’re looking forward to seeing more of our new recruits joining events across the Realms. Fall tends to be one of NOR’s most active seasons. People return from vacations, schedules settle, and guild activity picks up. It’s a great time for officers to reach out, invite recruits to group content, and help them feel like part of the rhythm of their Realm. And for existing members, it’s a perfect opportunity to jump into events, meet new faces, and help build momentum for the months ahead. As we welcome new recruits, it’s also a good moment to be mindful of the tone we set in chat and voice. NOR has always been a friendly and respectful community, and keeping our conversations welcoming by avoiding off‑color jokes or language that might put newcomers off helps us represent the guild in the best way possible. We want every new member to feel at home and confident that they’ve joined a guild that truly lives up to the values we share.

As always, thank you all for everything you do, whether you’re leading, supporting, streaming, recruiting, or simply enjoying time with guildmates. *NOR/ is strong because of the people who show up, who care, and who make this guild truly feel like home. We’re excited for the season ahead and grateful to share it together with all of you.

  Hail *NOR/!

  Season One has introduced us to the new Thieves Guild quest line, Sharogorath’s new event, Dynamic Encounters, and Favors. There’s been plenty to discover in Tamriel!

  By completing the Thieves Guild quests and dailies, we can unlock a new house, along with new recipes and skins for werewolves and vampires from the Dynamic Encounters. We’ve also been enjoying new daily Tomes and the new Favors, which provide Unformed Planar Keys in preparation for the upcoming Nowhere Vault event.

  And, of course, we have some new faces to welcome into the guild, along with a couple of well-earned promotions!

  New Things to Come in Tamriel

  Bethesda and ZeniMax have been going through some changes, and some things we were expecting sooner have been postponed until 2027. They’re still on the horizon, though, and there’s plenty to look forward to for the rest of this year!

  Update 51, including the Nowhere Vault, Rumor System, and additional player improvements, is scheduled to go live on September 28, 2026.

  Just two days later, on September 30, the in-game event High Seas of Tamriel will arrive!

  So never fear—there are still plenty of Tamrielic adventures ahead, and *NOR/ will experience them together as always.

  Closing Thoughts

  With the new Season One Tomes and Golden Pursuits, July and August have been full of new wonders and new adventures.

  Keep your eyes and ears open for guild announcements as we begin resuming our Trial runs and other activities. And remember, we’re all here for each other. If you need help with anything, *raise the *NOR/ Flag and call out!

  In Guild Wars 3 news, ArenaNet has been releasing bios for the 4 species available at launch. So far we’ve had Human news/playable-species-humans, and Kodan news/playable-species-kodan. Asura and the 4th species are coming soon. And according to their post on their approach to playable species, they are baking in the ability to add more species in the future. Something they couldn’t do with Guild Wars 2 news/approach-to-playable-species.
  
  Please join us on our DIS-CORD golem where we share the latest Tyrian news including Guild Wars 3, share Fashion Wars wins, and more including our Guild Events. Wednesdays are Fractals where we take on tougher and tougher challenges. Thursdays are Helping Hands were we do what New Outriders does best and help each other through everything from Hero Points, Mastery Points, or whatever strikes our fancy. Then Sundays, outside of our Monthly Ceremonies, we just get together and chill out with fishing, finishing weeklies, or enjoy the current event.   “I think Nick Fury just hijacked our summer vacation.” – Spider-Man: Far from Home
  
  Thankfully no one hijacked the New Outriders SwTOR summer extravaganza. What could be more fun than running around the galaxy blasting things into oblivion you ask? How about if everyone decided to run around kung fu fighting throughout the galaxy? Yes, you guessed it. Everybody was Kung Fu fighting! We started off with a visit to our Rishi stronghold (a personal favorite of mine, though I may be partial to some of the décor,) and began with an all out brawl in the PVP area. Everyone versus Intisar. It was a heated competition to see who would pull out the killing blow and you guessed it gentle reader, it was none other than yours truly Gonzo. We then travelled to Dromund Kaas to battle ‘The First’ as well as run around killing some named mobs to get the achievement ‘Tyrant of Dromund Kaas.

  It was an awesome turn out, though we were hassled by a bug that is being patched Wednesday that prevented some of us from obtaining the achievement. The patch will fix that and allow those of us who did not get the achievement to receive credit. Then we got a little crazy and decided on SwTOR’s version of popcorn and you guessed it, with no weapons. We fought the Rogue Cartel Warboss and now have a new reigning popcorn champion with 11 people exploded. Congratulations Cheysa!
  
  We have now discovered that FR3-DOM will no longer one shot kill you if you are over level 60 when you walk into their arena. We would like to add a special thank you to Champion Amp for organizing some group activities to help with the reputation on Dantooine. This was a little rough at first as we all got used to navigating through this very hostile environment. This reputation is not easy to come by as you take damage unless you gain reputation and are allowed to buy a buff on planet.
