In Memoriam: Knight Thraetta
Very recently, we received the sad news of the passing of Knight Thraetta, a long‑time member whose presence touched many across several of our realms. Thraetta joined NOR in 2013 and traveled with us through Neverwinter, Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and beyond. His history in the guild reflects exactly what we value the most: steady camaraderie, quiet dedication, and the simple joy of sharing adventures with friends. Whether it was running trials with us in Elder Scrolls Online, lending a hand to fellow members, or simply being a familiar and friendly name in guild chat while decorating his in-game housing, Thraetta embodied the NOR spirit. We honor his memory, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to all who knew him both inside and outside of our games. Moments like these remind us why our guild exists. We value each and every member, and we cherish the time we spend together in our shared enjoyment of gaming. While the worlds we explore may be digital, the friendships and memories we build are very real. NOR Featured in French Gaming Blog Interview:
After nearly a year of anticipation, the long‑form interview conducted by French gaming writer Raydjahs has now been published on Les Chroniques d’Azeroth. This article explores the history and culture of long‑standing guilds, featuring both The Syndicate and New OutRiders as examples of communities that have endured for decades. Five long-time members of NOR participated in the interview, offering perspectives on our origins, our values, our cross‑game identity, and the friendships that have carried us from the early days of The Shadow of Yserbius to the present. This piece highlights NOR’s longevity, our multi‑realm structure, and the way our members describe the guild as a home and a shared identity that spans games, generations, and continents. This interview is available in both English and French, and it’s a great snapshot of who we are as we approach our 34th year. We encourage all members to give it a read and share it with anyone curious about what makes NOR special.
Restoring NOR’s Traditional Ranks:
At our most recent High Council meeting (April 12, 2026), the High Council voted unanimously to restore several of NOR’s classic non‑officer ranks. Ranks that were part of our guild from 1992 through 2017. While not everyone was here during that era, these ranks represent an important part of our heritage. Bringing them back strengthens our identity and gives members clear, meaningful milestones as they grow with us.
The restored progression is as follows:
Recruit (RT) – 2–4 weeks
Squire (SQ) – ~2–4 weeks
Squire Court (SC) – ~3 months
Squire Honor (SH) – ~9 months
Knight (KT) – ~1 year
Knight Elite (KE) – ~1.5 years
Champion (CH) – ~2 years For members who consistently contribute at a level worthy of Baron but are not currently serving in leadership.
These ranks do add a small amount of administrative work such as tracking timelines and holding brief ceremonies, but they give us something far more valuable: a tangible way to carry our traditions forward. They connect our present to our past, help members feel seen, and give every realm a dignified way to celebrate loyalty, contribution, and service. To support this, each realm may optionally designate a Herald to help track progression and assist with ceremonies.

A special thanks to Count PointyEars, Duke Riveni, and Grandee Budda for attending the six-hour 20th Anniversary quest speed runs on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026!
Now that Dungeons & Dragons Online’s 20th anniversary celebration has wound down, hopefully you were able to receive your free 20th Anniversary d20 cloak, free Arcane Trickster rogue archetype, and special items from the “Time Flies” quest reward tokens. Remember that you can still interact with Sterling Strongbox, Remnant Rush Vendor up to ten times a month with an escalating cost to the amount of Mysterious Remnants you will need to turn in. Once a month, the amount will reset to its base number of 100 remnants and then escalate from there for the rewards. The main rewards are powerful endgame items, especially artifact rings (often best-in-slot), along with some weapons and armor, while lower-tier drops include augments and consumables.
Update 79, “The Dragons’ Hand,” is now live on DDO! Quest your way to the finale where you battle a mighty dragon who possesses a Deck of Many Things. The quest givers are located just below the House Kundarak bank and you can begin the entire quest line by talking to Tailara Fiercewing. The Dragons’ Hand quests are base level 10 on heroic and level 36 on legendary. This quest line is free to VIP and can be purchased à la carte through the DDO store for 695 DDO points. There is no shortage of things to do in LOTRO, whether it’s questing, deeding, exploring, spending a sunny day fishing and birdwatching, creating yet another alt, soaking in the nostalgic lore, or joining a group to take down a giant fuzzy spider boss.
Lord Tundrra, our Realm Advisor, has been faithfully leading group instances on Monday evenings. While there has been a fair amount of struggles and a few suspicious NORbie player deaths, several bosses have been bested. The current focus is content levels 151-160.
Sunday Shenanigans are returning soon! These activities will focus on maximizing fun, laughter, and making good memories. Everyone can participate as there are no level, gear, class or experience requirements. Plan to attend!
I would like to welcome our latest additions to the kin: Chava, Fretz, and Velenor. We’re delighted to have you!
Congratulations to Squire Mesmeric Moon for reaching his one year NOR anniversary! He enjoys obtaining the best possible gear, running instances, grinding deeds, and leveling crafting.

First of all, I would like to congratulate Baron KillingTime (Also our Dungeon Master) on his promotion to a position as a NOR officer. Huzzah!
I would also like to welcome Squire Maythor as our newest full member and Warguerilla, JunaAnn, and SoloMerx as our newest recruits. It’s great to have you all with us!
On April 29th, the “Night Market” public group dungeon/event begins and will run until the second week in June. We will earn housing from the attached quest and the ability to open more wings and a banker/merchant in the new house via achievements earned in this dungeon. It will make for some fun times doing it with fellow NORbies!
April 19th also marks out our One-Year Anniversary since we moved the branch from NOMAD status to Active Realm and we have a big event planned. I’d like to give a huge shout-out to Baron Brettoel for all the work he has done preparing the area we will use for the event. I hope to see you all there!
I will reiterate our event schedule as well. Wednesday nights at 7pm EST, we will run a group event, keep your eyes on Discord for the nature of it. Thursday nights at 8pm EST we will have a general hang out in Discord and help each other if needed with the Tamriel Tome tasks depending on what it has us needing to complete to earn this coin. It is always better in groups!
Starting April 25th, we will begin staggering our trials. Every other week will be a veteran trial if we get the signups, on the off-weeks, we will do normal trials, so we can expect 2 Veteran trials a month and 2 Normal trials. The more, the merrier!Aim for the Stars and hit the Sky!

Who wants to be a millionaire?
It has been a while. Many new improvements happening, new milestones, teaming up with AIE, conquest and more.
First off we would like to congratulate Yynith/Pilos on their recent promotion to Squire. They have been a great addition to the guild and we look forward to many adventures with you. We would also like to recognize some awards; Countess Cheysa Finn, Countess Galaxiya and Duke Intisar have attended 25 event and have been awarded a 25 event pin on their bio. Also Duke Intisar has achieved his 50 events pin. Congratulations!
There is some new Star Wars news for those who may not be aware and I may be slightly bias due to this being my favorite Star Wars character. Disney+ has release a new series called “Maul – Shadow Lord” which follows Darth Maul after the clone wars as he builds his criminal empire. This has inspired some new cosmetic gear in game which fits very well as we are getting ready to wrap up the Legacy of the Sith. The spring abundance festival has come and gone with a lot of dancing with our guildmates and a few more surprises thanks to our fearless Brunch Leader.
In game news, Swtor has been working on migrating to DirectX 12. With May the 4th just around the corner, the Dev’s have mentioned some celebration this year. They have mentioned Double XP events, and some more login and subscriber rewards. This is potentially a big year for swToR due to this year being the 15th anniversary of the game’s release and they have said there will be a lot to tell us with game release 8.0.We have seen some very dedicated play, and fun happening lately. Champion Amp has passed one million conquest points in a single week. This is the most I have seen any individual character put up in recent times. We have also continued to be up to new shenanigans with the Rogue Cartel Warbot. A new game called Popcorn has been made up (we are not divulging who came up with it, it was definitely not our friendly neighborhood leader and not influenced at all by some random other leader or leaders looking to spice things up…) During the battle one person receives a debuff, when that completes its channel it has an unusual side effect of exploding their teammates around them and throwing them in the air. Much like seeing popcorn popping. We could have had a new record set this past weekend dethroning Squire Caboose, but in all the chaos, I lost track of who had the debuff from all the laughing and seeing close to ten people go flying, no one wanted to claim credit. The most unlikely of thing happened during this time. Duke Intisar summoned everyone to his least favorite (or so he says) planet for this wonderful game. Usually he is not so willing to travel to Quesh. Que the multiple Queshtions and que the inevitable sigh…..
Our progression team has been back into the swing of things and even saw a Praxon Bloodline mount drop from Explosive Conquest. They have also had very successful runs of Eternity Vault and Karagga’s Palace. The Rakghoul Resurgence started yesterday and you can be sure we will all be getting dizzy as we run in circles turning left like NASCAR drivers trying to destroy Eyeless and the following week we will be back to Ilum for the Gree invasion and a chance at the sweet, sweet red orb!! Oh, and last but certainly not least, I promised multiple people that I would be mentioning the fact that on more than one occasion we have finished up to seven minutes early.

Moto has opened up his Super Adventure Box for those who want to test their old-school platforming skills and collect new and returning rewards. Plus Moto has released a new text zone for early access. Youtube Vid We also got a massive balance patch that addresses the power creep that’s been growing in the game. balance-update-preview/ This brings an average of a 10-15% damage reduction along with balancing the latest encounters added from Path of Fire onward built around the power creep. This is a much needed update, especially as many early endgame encounters have become almost trivial. ArenaNet will be monitoring the changes, especially some of the most challenging PvE encounters with any follow up they find necessary.

What’s new in FFXIV?
March marked a massive milestone for us—our 3rd Anniversary! Whether you’ve been with us since the early days or just joined us recently, thank you for making this Free Company a true home.
To celebrate three years of friendship, dungeon runs, and housing decoration debates, we are hosting an anniversary bash later this month. Keep an eye on the Discord and the Company Board for the official date and time. Expect games, prizes, and of course, a group photo!
Things to look forward to: Patch 7.5: Trail to the Heavens (Part 1)
The big news is finally here! Patch 7.5 Part 1 is scheduled to drop on April 28th. This is a massive update with a lot to sink our teeth into as a group. Here are the highlights we’re most excited about:
• New Main Scenario: The “Trail to the Heavens” storyline begins, moving us closer to the climax of the current arc.
• Echoes of Vana’diel (Part 3): We’re heading to Windurst for the third walk of the alliance raid. Let’s get those clear parties ready!
• Beastmaster Limited Job: A brand new way to play is arriving. Who’s ready to start taming the wilds of the Black Shroud?
• New Dungeon & Trials: We’ll be tackling The Clyteum dungeon and facing off against Enuo (Extreme). For the veterans, Shinryu’s Domain (Unreal) is also making its debut.
• Housing & Quality of Life: Look forward to increased placement limits, new interior fixtures, and the long-awaited consolidated dye system to make customization easier than ever.
