The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) – COME PLAY with NOR!

LOTRO is an MMORPG since 2007.
LOTRO is free to play! Becoming a VIP (subscriber) offers additional perks. Whether you are
F2P or VIP, you will still need to purchase the expansions in order to play their content. Older
expansions can be purchased via the in-game currency LOTRO Points. LP can be earned in
game by completing deeds.
NOR is on the Glamdring server. In chat, type /joinchannel NOR to make contact if any
NORbies are online. https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Chat_channels
The level cap is currently 150. I heard it will increase to 160 in November!
There are at least 12,200 quests currently in LOTRO. I’m a questaholic, so I love this! The
sound effects and views are superb!
If you find yourself overleveled, you can purchase a Stone of the Tortoise to pause XP gain.
If you want more of a challenge as you adventure, increase the difficulty!
The main story line of LOTRO, called the Epic quest line, has you playing as the 10th member
of the fellowship. Adventure with Frodo from the Shire to Mordor and beyond! Visit Angmar,
Isengard, Mirkwood, Lothlorien, Helm’s Deep, and Edoras as you level up! Meet with Gandalf,
Legolas, Gimli, Elrond, Boromir, Gollum, Saruman, Radagast, and even Sauron himself! Aid in
the fights against foes like the Balrog and Shelob!
As a new character, you can choose your race: Beorning, Dwarf, Elf, High Elf, Hobbit, Man,
River Hobbit, or Stout-axe.
Then choose your class: Beorning, Brawler, Burglar, Captain, Champion, Guardian, Hunter,
Lore-master, Mariner, Minstrel, Rune-keeper, or Warden.
If you enjoy crafting, choose up to 4 professions: Cook, Farmer, Forester, Jeweller, Metalsmith,
Prospector, Scholar, Tailor, Weaponsmith, or Woodworker.
One of my favorite features of LOTRO is the ability for players to obtain musical instruments and
play them note by note in game. Many players have put together bands and perform in Bree!
LOTRO offers PvP in the form of PvMP, which is Player versus Monster Player. Players can
choose to join the fight as either their normal player character (at level 20 and above) or as one
of the Forces of Angmar!
If you enjoy raiding, there is no shortage of instances to test your mettle!
If you enjoy quieter/solo activities, try catching a 50lb salmon or spotting the rarest of birds!
LOTRO has an extremely detailed Wiki to assists players in all aspects of the game:
lotro-wiki.com/wiki/.
For help with the many regions: wiki/Zones_by_level.
If you’re a questaholic like me, this page is amazing: wiki/Category:Quest_by_Level Find detailed help for nearly every quest in the game if you get stuck.
At the moment, this is everything I can think of that could possibly entice a person to play. Come
experience Middle Earth for yourself!
