You may have noticed an recent explosion of games the guild has been advertising, so this month I wanted to focus on some changes we have made to our NOMAD realms. First a few games that had interested leadership enough to set up a guild for members to explore such as Star Trek Online and the upcoming game Pax Dai, and a few weeks before that EVE online and Player Unknown Battlefields were all added to our growing. NOMAD list.

The NOMAD category of guild realms are games where we have the ability to tag a existing member, but you will not see any recruiting or rapid expanding until an officer is interested in volunteering to become its Branch Leader. Until then the High Council will make the game available for members to play together.

With that in mind the High Council’s new goal is to preserve as many of our old realms as we can and to make it as easy as possible for new leaders coming in to run a realm as their own without starting from scratch. We are hoping to retain as many of the guild’s old resources as available like guild hall levels, bank storage, etc. To do this when a realm loses its leaders, admin permissions will be transferred to one of the HC members and then every other month the HC will log in and see if anyone to confirm the place is still standing. Unfortunately for games like Rift and New World, no one was checking in and the guild dissolved due to server mergers and inactivity. However our new check in strategy should give us ample time to avoid such issues in the future. So any games that we maintain control in will fall into the NOMAD category and the HC will log in from time to time, tag any members that want to dwell there and do our best to keep the guild hall intact.

We would love to see all these NOMAD games one day become full Active recruiting realms and for those considering a place in leadership Lord Garadian as wrote an article setting some expectations. “So, you are interested in becoming a NOR Officer…” we also have a much older document I wrote for those taking on a branch leader role “Branch Leader Tips & Tricks”. We of course want to give of our leaders all the room they need to run their realm they like as long as they keep the long standing traditions ours members come to expect as they move from game to game over the many years.

We are half way through the year and it has been great seeing the guild flourish and I have loved seeing the return of so many members of long ago on Discord.

On July 31st, 2024, Dungeon & Dragons Online will be releasing its newest expansion, Myth Drannor, City of Glory. Set in the Forgotten Realms, player characters will be able to explore the Ruins of Myth Drannor; experience “Wild Magic” zones; battle new creatures; and roam Cormanthyr, the new wilderness area. Set for both level 13 and the new legendary cap level 34, you will be able to roll the new Eladrin race and the Wild Mage sorcerer archetype.

Dawntrail has finally arrived!

Lots of excitement this month with the release of the new expansion, Dawntrail. With this expansion they have added many new story quests, dungeons and trials. Many changes have been made to existing classes to improve them, and max level has been increased to 100. They have introduced two new classes, Viper and Pictomancer. Both of which are great additions to the game.

Our Dungeon Master Group, led by Jaylx, have already successfully cleared the first new extreme trial and are continuing to work towards getting everyone a clear! This week we will start working towards a clear of the second extreme trial.

Patch 7.01 was released July 16th. Included in this patch was the beginning of a new raid series, The Arcadion. Patch 7.05 is set to release on July 30th, which will feature the Arcadion (savage) and the treasure hunt instance, Cenote Ja Ja Gural. We are looking forward to all of the other patches still to come this year.

Hail and greetings from Tyria. First, some exciting news from Lord Garadian:

I am proud to announce the ascension of Count Vargorian and Count Sofija of the Guild Wars 2 Duchy from Baron to Count. Their dedication and leadership have been invaluable to our guild. Additionally, I congratulate and wish success for Count Vargorian on his new role as the Guild Wars 2 Duchy Branch Leader.

We also celebrate the promotion of visiting member Budda from Neverwinter on his well-deserved promotion to Knight after 25 years of unwavering commitment and flawless moatkeeping as a Squire. Your achievements inspire us all! Huzzah!

In other exciting news, our newest expansion, Janthir Wilds guildwars2.com/en-us/janthir-wilds, is only a month away. While we wait, ArenaNet has teased us with some of the upcoming features. One of the most exciting features is Homesteads. Our personal housing will include a hang-out for all those alts, a stable for mounts, as well as a robust decorating system. pcgamer.com/

We got to preview the new weapon coming to all classes, the spear. Changes to PvP and WvW just dropped including reworking to scoring and rewards. And the Festival of the Four Winds will start July 30^th to August 20^th. Join our Zephyrite friends in the Labyrinthine Cliffs for various activities like Flying Dolyak, Fishing Tournaments, Treasure Hunt, and more. Or head to The Crown Pavilion and test your skills against replicas of ancient foes to the peace of Tyria.

Last, but not least, NOR members were proud participants of Tyria Pride 2024, a fund-raiser for Rainbow Railroad – a non-profit organization that helps at-risk LGBTQI+ individuals get to safety around the world. The various events, wrapping up with a massive march across core Tyria, and some amazing screenshots, raised over $12,000 for this great cause.

From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend, the legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe. Last month found us teaming up with Nexus of Radiance (the other NOR) and our friends from AIE to form the greatest team ever, Team Voltron. Together we took on the ancient threat and won. This was the biggest event in recent NOR swToR history, with over 44 people involved in the raid. All lead by Duke Intisar and his expert guidance. There were only a small number of deaths involved, but a ton of fun was had!

There is only 12 days left of the galactic season “Building a Foundation,” and 62 days left for the PVP season “Great Pirate Hunt.” The spring event has past, which had some fun and creative new missions. There was dancing around the force May pole, pie baking, fishing, cultivating fields, a galactic egg hunt, and even learned to be an intergalactic veterinarian and rehabilitating sick or injured creatures. We are now on to the Nar Shaddah Nightlife event, offering new pets and weapons.

The progression team is currently working on Dread Palace for achievements and the ever popular Temple of Sacrifice both on Veteran mode and Hard. Fun nights are Thursday and Sunday, these are always filled with Shenanigans and fun. Wednesday night is lowbie PVP night. Where we tackle PVP content with under ranked and under geared characters for a little fun and competition.

There is currently a Cartel Market sale on stronghold decorations for 40 to 60% off.

Rackghoul resurgence will be kicking off on July 23rd, where we will be sure to be chasing some diseased creatures in a tunnel, fighting the outdoor event worldboss and running in circles a lot. Try not to get dizzy. And as always may the force be with you all.
