The Night Revels awaits you! Come join the Dungeons & Dragons family between October 4th and October 31st as we take on spooky quests filled with undead enemies to obtain various ingredients that we can turn in to acquire unique and spectacular weapons, armor, and character enhancements. 2023 offers five new reward items, including a new autumn-themed cosmetic armor set, a spectral pseudodragon pet, and a red reaper’s steed.
In order to get into the quests, adventurers will need to first acquire Night Revels quest keys by completing the Night Revels explorer quest within Delera’s Tomb located in House Jorasco. After acquiring the Night Revels keys, enter the Night Revels Crypt and choose one of several adventures that provide special spooky ingredients once adventurers finish the quest based on the number of objectives completed at or above the adventurer’s character level. Defeat Eternity, the Spectral Dragon in the quest Eternity Unleashed to get Spectral Dragon Scales ingredients to finish off your high-level rewards.
You’ll never be more entertained than when questing during The Night Revels!

This has been a busy month in Final Fantasy XIV. Our new patch (6.5) landed a couple of weeks ago and it has been fun doing new content and raids with the guild. Our attendance for events has been really good and I hope to see it continue that way into the future!
Also, as we are in October, we have been running our Spooky Saturday Night events, which have proved to be really entertaining so far. Up until now we have done No More Room in Hell and SCP Containment Breach, which turned out well and We still have our Halloween Pictionary Game and Phasmaphobia to go, and last, but not least, our Halloween Party on October 31st in VR Chat.
We also have two new members, Squire Nero and Squire Paco, who both have recently been Squired into the guild as full-fledged members. We have also Knighted two members; Knight Neorune and Knight Roland Loring.
As well as pumpkin lattes, the autumn has also brought romance into the air. We have celebrated Ceremony of Eternal Bondings for two couples, Baroness Jinx Lilly and Roland Loring, and Baroness Chanah Jade and Squire Nero. Good luck and a happy future to all of you! Huzzah!
For a sneak peak into our near future, we will soon be adding different types of events to our bag of tricks along with movie nights if people are so interested. In FFXIV, we also plan to start running more deep dungeons, the completions are quite the achievement and it’s fun to team up for such an ardous mission.

“Insolence? We are pirates. We don’t even know what that means.” This month finds me catching up on something long over due. In July the amazing Duke Intisar was awarded the Venerable Order of Yserbius. Intisar has led our ragtag group of hooligans in repeated efforts at mischief and herded cats like an Olympic cat wrangler. He truly deserved this award and has earned all of our respect. Congratulations!!
Yesterday the SWTOR team rolled out update 7.4 – “Chains in the Dark” via live stream. It is obvious this team is hitting the ground running now that they are with Broadsword. With this update there will be another new daily area, a new world boss (FR3-DOM), a continuation of the Mandalorian story, GTN improvements, lighting improvement, gearing changes, Life Day, new and exciting cartel market items, and a review of the “Best View in SWTOR” contest finalists. Ord Mantell will be the host planet for a new landing zone with daily areas. I know what you are gonna say, this is the republic smuggler starting world. How can the Imperials get here? Well, there happens to be a suspicious group of locals on the planet allowing access to the planet. Anyone familiar with Star Wars lore will remember that Ord Mantell would later house a base for the Black Sun Crime Syndicate.
The development team has been working on lighting upgrades in many areas but are now actually letting everyone know they were not losing their minds. The cut scenes have actually been changed to allow for dynamic environmental lighting to replace the previous bluelight spot light effect. This allows more realistic shading in game and is a welcome improvement for story components. The GTN (Galactic Trade Network/auction-house) has been revamped and will be including a radical new improved system with more enhancements than can be explained in this article. The bulk of which are to allow for more ease of use and for the computer to calculate what is needed. The gearing grind will be happening again. Gearing is getting upgraded from 336 to 340 (or 344 for veteran players.) This will mean a whole new batch of grind and number crunching from our resident math experts. There will be many new cartel market items that include weapons, armor and mounts. There will also be the addition of matte, metallic and pearlescent dyes. So anyone who has wanted a nice shiny Mando or Trooper can now have that shiny look. Life Day is coming and there will be a new Life Day officer uniform coming along with it. The next installment of PVP seasons will be coming shortly after the release. Halloween will be a pirate celebration this year. Everyone is welcome!! Anyone who has a character that has their personal space ship unlocked can participate.

October is here, and with it comes the spooky season of Halloween. Are you ready for some frightful fun and chilling challenges? I know you are! So join us every Saturday this month for a Spooky Saturday event, where we will play some scary games and have a blast. Hosted by the Final Fantasy XIV Duchy, guild members across all of our branches both Active and NOMAD and everywhere in-between are most welcome to participate and enjoy the festivities!
Here is the schedule for these Spooky Saturdays; all of events will start at 7pm EST.
- October 7th: SCP Containment Breach (Free on Steam), a horror game where you try to escape from a facility full of deadly anomalies and creatures.
- October 14th: No More Room in Hell (Free on Steam), a zombie survival game where you have to cooperate with other players to stay alive.
- October 21st: Halloween-themed Pictionary, a drawing game where you have to guess what others are sketching based on Halloween-related words and phrases.
- October 28th: Phasmaphobia Night (Available on Steam for a small fee), a paranormal investigation game where you have to communicate with ghosts and avoid their wrath.
- October 31st (Halloween Night, a Tuesday): VR Chat Halloween Party (Free app, VR not required to use it), a social game where you can chat, dance, and explore various Halloween-themed worlds with other players.
