New Realm Procedures

Main Web Page (WordPress Site)

Brand New Realm:
-Create 2 new categories
1. The “Game’s Name” (this is articles and guides associated with to the realm)
2. “NORnews GameAbberviation” (this is for newsletter articles)

-Create a new Post, Labeled with the game’s name
-Use another Active Realm page as a template to include server information, contact information, etc.
-Attach the new created “gameName” category to it.
-Attach the “Realms (Active)” category to it.
-Moving it to “Realms (Active)” category places the game on main page as well as the realms page of the main site.

Moving from Nomad/Closed to Active
:
-Find the game and edit the category from “Realms (Active)” to the Closed or NOMAD label. This will move it to the correct section of the realms page and remove it from the main page.

Images:
-There are 2 banner images on the wordpress main site, one at the top of the Game’s splash page and a second one that is used as the thumbnail.
-The Online Roster has two images aswell, the game logo and a realm ribbon.

Discord channels:

– Move the uncharted or NOMAD realm to the active sections of Discord.
– If no channel exists create a new one.
– Set permissions to the same as the other realms.
– Active Realms have a small castle icon.
– Add Sub Channels: General Chat, Event Organizing and Voice Channels.

The Discord Information section:

– The splash page of Discord, allows new members to see a list of our realms that includes a link to its NORwebpage.
– Lady Zyera is the only one who can edit this, so send her a friendly request:)

Online Realm Rosters:

– First things is to be sure you have the 2 image file names picked out and a realm abbreviation determined.  This information will be needed when creating the online roster realm entry.

Image 1: Is the logo of the game.
– The File needs to be a .png extension with transparent background.
– Image size: 700×480 pixel size.
– The file name is should be the game name with no spaces.  example: darksunonline

Image 2: the ribbon icon
– The File needs to be a .jpg format.
– Image size: 400×100 pixels.
– The file name will be the same as the realm’s abbreviation.  example: DSo

The Database Creation:
– “Officer menu”
– This is limited access to HC and Branch Leader only.
– “Create New Realm”
– Fill out all the information:
Game Name,
logo file name,
game’s abbreviation,
date realm was established,
realm application handle requirements (optional),
welcome letters custom message (optional)
