104 *NOR/News Dungeons and Dragons Online

Hail *NOR/!

In an attempt to address the ever-present game lag that Dungeons & Dragons Online has battled against during its eighteen years of existence, the developers of DDO have created a new 64-bit server named Cormyr.  Until January 21st, 2025, VIP members may create characters and participate in the “Lanterns in the Mist” event.  The premise of the event is that you are battling randomly occurring (usually once per quest) “Mist Stalkers” that manifest in various forms.  Defeating the Mist Stalkers will grant you soul essences that fill up the durability of one of five lanterns (Thresh, anyone?)  When you fill the durability of a lantern completely, you can turn it in to get a unique account reward that is only available during this event.

Players have the option to play in Hardcore mode, where if you die, you lose your lanterns until you reincarnate, or in Non-hardcore mode, which allows you to die without losing the progress on your lanterns.  Whichever path you choose, you will be challenged as you climb levels and defeat the onslaught of ever-strengthening Mist Stalkers!

Please note that *NOR/ will not have a guild presence on Cormyr, as our home server is and will remain Ghallanda.

See you in-game!
