    *Hail *NOR/!

Hardcore Season VI draws to a close next Monday, October 24th.  In reflection, this season was a bit of a mixed bag for a large portion of the Hardcore community, and a lot of folks found the season to be challenging in the sense that the methods that the developers used to make it “hardcore” effectively removed a lot of the players’ ability to interact with the game; players were unable to theory craft effective builds to defeat the various hounds due to them being red-named and champions; and ultimately, players felt like the season was released half-baked with the community having to raise such a ruckus that the devs had to make significant adjustments to curb a Hardcore server mutiny.  I hope that Standing Stone Games (the current team behind DDO) can take this season as a learning experience and level up their wisdom stat in a way that it allows the community to feel like the Hardcore developers went *above and beyond* rather than players being left with a sense that the devs did *just enough to get by.*  Here’s to an engaging and enjoyable future Hardcore Season VII!

Additionally, the Night Revels event is going strong and will be available on the Ghallanda server until November 1st.  You can slay undead enemies in the Night Revels explorer area within Delera’s Graveyard, run numerous spooky quests to get special ingredients, and use the ingredients to purchase unique cosmetic items and a special Night Revels mount!

    See you in-game!

Hail*NOR/Monthly news from a galaxy far far away…..

This month has so much to look forward to. Halloween is coming up. SWTOR’s NOR chapter is having a costume contest for fun and show. It is a free for all, no specific theme restrictions for character costumes.

We are slowly getting the R4 anomaly under control. We have Lady Dominique yet to go, but she is putting up a good fight.

Update 7.1.1 is live now. We are kicking off season 3 of galactic seasons, titled “luck of the Draw.” There have been many balance changes (some much needed ones to healers,) and tweaks to rewards. For the smuggler with style and a huge wardrobe the outfit designer has been increased to 32 slots with the ability to custom name your outfits.

Get your appetite ready, November 1 marks the start of the “feast of prosperity” with the Gourmand’s weapon sets and some Hilo toys. The feast’s organizers, Dubba and Gaboorga, have generously donated their skiffs to be available for purchase with the proceeds going to some unusual Hutt charity (I am sure).
