Dungeons & Dragons Online

Hail *NOR/!

A call to arms has rung across all of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Hardcore Season 4 is upon us, and mimics are abound!  This season of Hardcore is especially unforgiving, as players will receive no extra lives while leveling and any chest in the game may be a horrible sticky-goo-spewing acidic mimic.  Collect mimic tokens from defeated mimics and turn the tokens for quality items or collectible reagents.  Numerous Hardcore-only rewards are available to players who make it to level 20, 1750 favor, 5000 favor, 10 reaper points, and 20 reaper points.

Current popular classes on Hardcore this season include Pure Barbarian, Pure Favored Soul, Inquisitive builds (dual-wielding light or heavy crossbows in both hands), Pure Paladin, and hybrids that have a splash of Paladin and/or Rogue for high saving throws and trap disabling ability, respectively.

If you want to see Hardcore in action, you can watch our own *NOR/bie Noobicabra stream DDO Hardcore Season 4 daily on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/noobicabra.  The season lasts three months and will end on June 30th.  See you in-game soon!

Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter

Hail *NOR/!

First, its great to see the newsletter back again! Major Kudos must be given to Tundrra as well for redoing our website, it looks amazing! On to the business at hand….

We here in Neverwinter have had the Sharandar of old stripped away from us and replaced with an all new Sharandar adventure! The three old areas have been upgraded and reworked into a three-part episodic adventure, complete with new enemies and new objectives. Honestly, the reception for this addition has been met with a, well, quite a few groans. The new old?! Sharandar is beautifilly done, Dev team taking advantage of the new graphics engine placed into the game a year or so ago. The Poweries, Trolls, and redcaps have all received an Extreme Makeover: Sharandar Edition!! (There is no bus to move though, sadly)

As of this writing, we are now two weeks into episode two of the new module and things are looking good going forward. There are new quests, new bounty system (which garners some groans, okay okay, a lot of groans) but the chance at significantly higer ranking companion gear shouts out to everyone of us.

We have an amazing group of players that join in on Discord whilst playing and the helping each other, doing quests together still goes on. There are many key players in setting up these events/groupings. Players that will drop what they’re working on to aid another guildie, thats what we do.

Congratz to Squire Gumbybacca on becoming a Grandfather!!
Congratz to Branch Lead Shava and the 1st Husband Manfoot on becoming foster parents to a two year old!

As our wonderful Dru says: “Honor to the Guild!”

Guild Wars 2

Hail*NOR/

Sofija here. It has been too long. Things here in Tyria find us in a tough spot. Not only have we been dealing with a Charr civil war, we are now also dealing with the Elder Ice Dragon Jormag and their champion from the North along with their brother, the Elder Fire Dragon Primordus, who is waking up in the South catching us in the middle of their power struggle as they try to destroy the other. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/march-09-2021/ Though our allies are growing as we complete Dragon Response Missions to save their homes from these threats, there will be a price to pay. What will be the result and will this lead us to the End of Tyria or the End of Dragons? https://www.guildwars2.com/en/end-of-dragons/

To help us keep our minds off the impending doom, Moto has opened up his Super Adventure Box again until the end of the month. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/april-06-2021/ Come test your jumping and stick handling skills as you try to save the princess from the evil Lord Vanquish. Earn baubles to spend on cool rewards and unlock unique skins for your Fashion Wars wins.

Please visit our DIS-CORD golem as announcements come in on our #announcement channel. Discussions and other ramblings can be found in #guildhall and our Fashion Wars wins and other screenshots in #gallery. And don’t forget our #spoilers channel where post our theories and speculations as well as other spoiler-y talk. Until we share our legends again, may your mugs be full of ale and your hunts honorable.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

*The attached image is from NOR’s recent “Super Sorc Sunday” event in which everyone played Sith Sorcerers and we raced around the galaxy fighting world bosses.

Hail *NOR/

Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Onlsaught expansion is moving towards its climax this spring with a brand new flashpoint set amid the ruins of the Jedi Enclave on the planet Dantooine in which players will confront the renegade Lord of the Sith, Darth Malgus! Also launching is “Galactic Seasons” in SWTOR’s take on a battlepass system. Active players, whether they are subscribed, returning preferred-status or brand-new free to players will be able to earn cosmetic rewards ranging from weapons, armor and mounts to a unique companion, a brand new Stronghold to personalize and even Cartel Coins to spend how you please!

NOR’s SWTOR branch continues to host weekly activities for players of all skill levels. Saturday night’s progression team is dipping its toes into the hardest group content the game offers, and during Sunday’s Conquest Fun Runs, everyone is welcome to join us as we venture across the galaxy scoring points for the guild and fun everyone. While most guild runs start at 8 PM ET, this year we have begun running in the afternoon from 1 PM ET on the first Sunday of every month to accommodate those with different schedules.

New or returning, players seeking to join the progression team and face the toughest challenges and folks looking to have a fun, relaxed time with friends and guild-mates are always welcome!
