New OutRiders

Dungeons & Dragons Online

D&D Online of NOR

Hail *NOR/!

Come one, come all, as the Night Revels has returned new and improved to DDO! This year’s installment of the Night Revels includes one new quest called Smashing Pumpkins; a multi-leveled slayer area to collect your quest keys within; a common area where all of the quests are located; and new weapons and cosmetics, including a beautiful set of dark purple Night Revels Reaper’s helm, armor, and cloak. Each quest require one Night Revel key to enter per quest, and grant XP and ingredients upon completion. Use the ingredients to create unique and powerful items that can only be obtained from the Night Revels event! This event is open to all DDO enthusiasts, including free to play accounts. Looking forward to seeing you all soon along with our fellow *NOR/bies on the Ghallanda server!

Guild Wars 2

Hail*NOR/

A doorbell rings. “Trick or Treat!” Two undead minions appear to hand out bags of candy corn. By the Eternal Alchemy, those are some scary costumes. Wave hi to the nice people you two. Come on in. Coxxo here with Sam and Thom and we’d like to welcome you to Tyria during our favorite time of the year. It’s Halloween and the veil between our realm and the realm of the Mad King Thorn is at its thinnest. A time when we get to dress up and gorge out on candy corn and other delicious treats, throw toilet paper and rotten eggs, and make bad puns. Oct Release

Along with that, we get to enter the Mad Labyrinth to test our combat skills against the Mad King’s minions. Just watch out for Steve, the giant skeleton with a chainsaw. Even Sam and Thom are scared of him. Or we can race around on our mounts or test our skills against other trick-or-treaters.

The Mad King also opened his mausoleum for racing again. Plus he’s opened it up to not just our beetles but there’s jackal and springer races as well along with time trials for each. A great way to live life in the fast lane.

The Clock Tower also makes a return. Do you dare challenge the scariest jumping puzzle to claim Thorn’s treasure at the top. Just remember, “Tick tock, the mouse ran up the clock. The clock swallowed it up, tail and all”. Spooky laughter.

If you think you’re up to it, you can take on the Mad King himself in the Ascent to Madness or play “Mad King Says” when he graces us with his tangerine visage in Lion’s Arch. And make sure to check your Trick-or-Treat bags, never know when you might get some cool new weapon skins, outfits, and infusions.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you that build and outfit templates are coming at the end of the month. A great opportunity to share with everyone your awesome, and not so awesome, layouts and allow you to check out PvP, WvW, Raids, and open-world without worry about carrying all that different gear.

Until we follow Banger Ruinbringer deeper into the Shiverpeaks, visit out DIS-CORD golem for news on our #announcement channel, general discussions in #guildhall, our super spooky costumes in #gallery, and speculations in our #spoiler channel. Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the rest of your trick-or-treating.

The Old Republic

Hail*NOR/

As the sun sets on the Fallen Empire era of Star Wars the Old Republic, the NOR branch looks eagerly towards the launch of Onslaught, SWTOR’s latest expansion on Tuesday October 22nd! Onslaught promises a renewed focus on the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith with two new planets to explore, and a new flashpoint and operation to test our skills against as we make the journey to level 75!

For veteran player, there will be tons of new gear to gain, datacrons to locate and plenty of story to experience. Subscribers will also gain access to a new alien species for their characters to play: the aquatic Nautolans! Free to play and Preferred players have also received attention with access to more quality of life perks, and increased credit cap, and, most importantly, free access to SWTOR’s first two expansions Rise of the Hutt Cartel and Shadow of Revan. You can play to level 60 with even spending a nickel.

New Outriders’ SWTOR branch is active with weekly operations nights and guild invasions alternating between the Republic and Sith factions. We continue to level up both guilds and have recently gained access to a new tier of guild perks.

It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan with a new movie, a new TV show and a new SWTOR expansion debuting this fall. If you’d like to get your lightsaber on, join us on the Star Forge server and, of course, May the Force be with You!
