First documented on January 10, 1995 this medal was originally titled The Golden Star of the Aldobora Tree. When the guild occupied a single game this was awarded to those who guided members through a set of quests. Oak leaf clusters were offered for repetition of this feat, red (1), orange (5) and green (10). Tracking the clusters fell out of practice over the years and members were more often awarded the medal singularly. The naming of this medal proved to be confusing as well and was frequently cited simply as the Golden Aldobora Tree which is its official name now.
Recent research by Lasarian has revealed that the ingame quest on Yserbius was actually for the Aldbora Tree, not Aldobora. It would seem a typo has survived for the last twenty years in the guild documents, misnaming the item.
This may be awarded to any member who consistently organizes, schedules, promotes and participates in guild or branch events. This may be awarded by any officer of the guild ranked Baron or higher.
The medal is a gold medallion with the embossed image of a tree. The ribbon is navy with a central white stripe braced on either side by gold piping.
