Hail *NOR/!

The Dungeons and Dragons Online branch of the New OutRiders have been busy questing in the epic levels of Eveningstar, which is part of the Forgotten Realms campaign of the Dungeons and Dragons world. Epic dungeons are reserved for those who have leveled beyond the standard 20 levels that characters normally cap at, and who have begun their journey into fulfilling their epic destiny, where each character can gain another ten epic levels along with the power that comes with it. In traditional pen and paper, several editions allowed for “epic” or “demigod” levels past 20, but in the current 5th Edition, level 20 remains a hard cap for player characters, unless custom variances have been implemented by a savvy dungeon master. Come join *NOR/ in DDO for free!

Play to your heart’s content with enough free content to level your character up through the ranks, gaining DDO points along the way simply by questing, and giving you the opportunity to unlock new quests, races, classes, or a myriad of other perks that can help your character along. See you in game!

Congratulations to the members of *NOR/DDO for achieving Guild Level 55. As a reward, *NOR/ was able to upgrade their guild ship to the luxury Stormglory Tempest airship. It is 75 meters long across the deck and can hold up to 50 guildies at a time. For amenities, it has 4 large and 11 small spots and can hold up to 9 crewmembers. Each of the amenities provides a special "buff" that lasts for an hour each, endures through rest shrines inside of quests, cannot be dispelled, and are only canceled by death.

For those of you who already have an DDO account, feel free to come check out the new guild airship as well as the new content that DDO has added. For *NOR/bies who haven't played DDO yet, DDO is still free to play, and you can sign up for a new account at: www.ddo.com and click on the "Play Free Now."

On behalf of Duke Skorj of *NOR/DDO, we look forward to seeing you in game in the City of Stormreach!

Since Update 18 in May there have only been a couple of somewhat minor patches with bug fixes and some upgrades etc. It seems things are pretty quiet in DDO with Summer here it would seem many are enjoying the sun and getting outdoors more. The branch is still around though and if you are wanting to get together with some of us to run a quest or something come post on the boards and let us know when you are planning to play. I am sure a few of us can log in to join you.

Update 18 was released this past May. Much of the update is prequels to the expansion that is due in August. The Shadowfell Conspiracy Expansion is available for pre-purchase with bonus items. It looks like the collectors edition will include a Tawny Owlbear Creature Companion for those who always wanted an Owlbear pet. There are also two free prequel quests already available.

For those who pre-purchase the expansion the first in a series of Iconic Hero classes has also been added. The Bladeforged starts at level 1 as a paladin. The release of the expansion will add three more Iconic Heroes.

Glamered Armor: DDO has also revamped the cosmetic armor system to use a cosmetic equipment slot that will allow you to change the appearance of whatever armor you are wearing rather than needing to apply it directly to the armor then buy a new kit when you replace your armor.

We will be organizing another weekly event and our hoping to gather together at least one full group of NORbies to do so. Please post to this thread letting me know what works best for you so we can try to find at least a couple hours a week that we can all get together and adventure around Stormreach.

Other than enjoying the Alpha of Neverwinter a couple days a week I have been trying to take a little break from online gaming to catch up on the my real world responsibilities but I am missing all of my DDO friends and would love to hear from you all and try to plan some groups together. Post on the boards letting us all know what is going on in your worlds and lets try to find at least a couple hours a week that we can all get together and adventure around Stormreach.

Things have been a bit slow the last couple of weeks. Many of the DDO players joined the crew over in Star Wars during the GLUE event and everyone seemed to really enjoy spending time with old and new friends. Hopefully things will pick back up with a new full schedule of events in the coming weeks.

DDO was experiencing some server side issues on and off for a few days but the problems should be worked out for Presidents Day weekend and I am hoping that we can try once again to plan at least one weekly guild event.

We finished our first NOR only Epic Elite quest just before New Years and all involved had a great time after our success we tried to take on a second Epic Elite and almost had it. Sadly towards the very end of the quest we were overrun and did not escape with our lives. Hopefully these runs can become a more regular addition to the DDO Event calendar.

We have a new recruit this month Billbasses so please look for him and say hello.

We want to send out a big thank you to all who participated in the Guild Wide Unity Event (GLUE). We had a blast and you all even helped us to get to the next Guild Renown rank with all the renown we earned over that weekend. It was great to see so many NORbies on at one time of course joining us in DDO certainly doesn't need to be limited to the events everybody is welcome to join us anytime.

In other news; Moomba's Wizard Mazaba has reached the Max Level of 25. Skore is on a crazy elite streak in her new life and has already earned 1000 favor at Level 8. Some of us have been spending more time in Eveningstar where there are some really fun quests with great gear rewards. If you need help learning the ropes in Eveningstar let someone know.

The big news for the DDO Branch this month is the Guild Wide Unity Event (GLUE). Dungeons and Dragons will be hosting the event November 16th thru the 18th. We are looking forward to seeing old and new faces in game and it is shaping up to be quite an incredible event so hopefully everyone will join us for at least a little bit sometime during the weekend as this is the perfect time to check out DDO. Make sure to Download Dungeons and Dragons Online & use a member as a Referral early on during the week so you are ready to join us for the Event this weekend.

In other news; Skorj's Bard Multi-Class, Skore completed her 20th Shroud raid which allowed her to finally die. She has now truly Reincarnated and is ready for a new look at the world. Skore should be all set to join us for the Guild Unity Event November 16-18th.

Dexstra has returned from a long absence and we are very excited to have another regular player in DDO. Momba's wizard just got to Level 20 as did Lakasha's Bard so congratulate them on their first Level 20's.

The Epic Destiny are proving to be a fun diversion for many of our higher level characters so if you haven't logged in for a while come see what the new Destinies are all about.
