Hail*NOR/NOR

We are less than 4 weeks away from the NOR cookout in Indiana!  11+ members from 6 different states have already RSVP'd!  We have a full day of yard games, grilling out, drinking some home brew and celebrating 25yrs of NOR planned!  For those coming a little early or staying a little late GenCon tickets are still available.  I know their 4 day passes are sold out, but individual days are still available.  NORbash 2017 details. Elixir's of Experience will be handed out as prizes.

Hail*NOR/

Over the last 6 months the ArcheAge devs has given players 2 major expansions adding 2 new races, 8 new Zones and several new Events. Crafting upper level gear is also being re-worked as the game is removing RNG from the process, in favor of an increased grind for materials.

Also these past few months have seen the leadership of ArcheAge pass from Lord Imaultis to Baroness Verby and her new appointed Baron Freeeedome.  A renewed recruiting effort will be starting very soon focusing on “Faction Events which include World Bosses and Dungeons .”

NOR players are active in many different aspects of the game, from farming to Dungeons and Faction vs. Faction PVP Events. We have good relations with the other guilds and one of our members was elected to be one of our Faction's Heroes. This enabled her and our Guild to play a role in deciding on an important Peace Treaty for our server.

Hail*NOR/

We have had a very exciting month for us here in Black Desert Online. I have to admit that I did jinx us by openly saying our expansion was coming last month. Sadly it did not, and we are still awaiting its debut.

On other things, we have been growing with leaps and bounds and have several new people join us. We are currently at 40 members and are continuing to grow. With this growth has come some pains. As we have grown we are now being recognized and as part of BDo is PvP we have had our first two declarations of war from other guilds. Per the mechanics of the game, we unfortunately do not have the option to decline, which has forced us into an abbreviated work up to PvP. We continue to work toward our first Node War, which I hope will be soon and we have gained a member who has had experience in PvP on BDo. I believe we will continue to grow and with practice excel at node wars in the near future.

Our next event will be the end of July where our Baron Corval will be leading a riddler’s hunt. Look for the specifics in the Events forum coming July 30th.

Count Timaios here with a quick message from the ESO Branch, activity has improved significantly since the branch re-opened.  As of the 22/7/2012 we have 25 active members, each member shaping up nicely as a great addition to the NOR community.  I have had the pleasure of promoting our first batch of squires and hope to add more in the near future.

As mentioned before in our last article, our next game update will be “Horns of the Reach”, featuring two new dungeons. Also if you're into PvP a new event is underway, “The Midyear Mayhem” PvP event.  Open up the crown store and claim your ticket entitled "Details on the Midyear Mayhem, pick up the quest and enjoy two-hours of 100% bonus to alliance points earned.

We are growing quickly and welcome anyone who enjoys a chilled out, relaxed atmosphere with awesome people to pass the time away as you enjoy all that Tameriel has to offer.  So join us for a little fun, daedra and some mayhem on the side.

A brief moment of calm has descended over the GW2 branch. Swords and axe blades can be seen grinding against stones to be sharpened, armor is being patched and polished, and Asura noses are buried deep within their tomes. Everyone is prepared to meet the new threat on the horizon and one more collective deep breath is being taken before it arrives.

Yes, exciting times are ahead for GW2. Starting Tuesday, July 25th, the sixth and final episode of Living Story 3 is being released, entitled, “One path Ends.”  A new fractal will be arriving with the patch, and most likely a new Legendary hammer. This also means that the next expansion is expected to be announced soon thereafter. So the next few months will be fascinating as we start to learn the details of what’s coming in the next expansion and watch the time of Heart of Thorns get driven to a conclusion. If you are an owner of Heart of Thorns, don’t forget to login to Guild Wars 2 before July 25 to unlock the current Living Story episode for free if you have not already done so.

While things are a bit quiet right before this major ramp up of new content, by no means have we been idle. We continue to run our weekly scheduled events for achievements, guild missions, and dungeons and fractals. We have made some great upgrades to the market and WvW station in our guild hall and gained two levels in the process, bringing us to 51. Teigra has been doing a wonderful job organizing the upgrade plans, so please take some time to see how you can help. We also welcome our new recruit Von and congratulate Rampage on his promotion to squire. We hope everyone enjoys the exciting times ahead for the game and welcome all who are interested to join us on the new adventures that await!

First order or business, we have a new Squire--The Doctor!  Please join us in welcoming him into the family of NOR!

The Summer Festival is at its height right now, and many of us are aiming to get a purple level mount that helps us along in the refinement process.  It's a great break from the daily grind in the River District.

Speaking of the River District, quite a few people have come back to Neverwinter after a long break of several mods, and the new artifact weapons set that is quite the upgrade for a lot of the returning members.  The set is less of a grind than others, and when we help each other out in running the lairs, it's even less of a grind.

As of last week, we've made an attempt in Fangbreaker Island in a full NOR group, and it looks like this dungeon will be quite the uphill climb for us, much like the first third of the dungeon itself. No matter, the frozen Fangbreaker Island is unlikely to thaw before the next time we attempt this uphill climb.

It's about a few days away from the launch of Mod 12: Tomb of Annihilation.  We've been busy upgrading our last boon structure to give everyone more hit points, because word has it that even the smallest dinosaurs in the wilderness of Chult, so it will be good to quest in a party.  We will report back next month on the many hilarious ways we become the lunch of a T-rex.

Until next month,

Many exciting things have occurred since our last newsletter! We’ve been working on the beautiful new stronghold, Manaan.  We are excited to decorate again and are enjoying seeing what each other has done with their new stronghold.  swToR describes it as: “When the battle is over, unwind on the legendary planet of Manaan in your new ‘Manaan Retreat’ Stronghold. Now you can call this water-world home – personalize a sprawling ocean-side estate, complete with panoramic vistas and exotic submarine sights!”

We are having fun with the new boss fight and can report that while there have been some casualties, we were ultimately successful.  “07.11.2017  'Sisters of Carnage' Update: Now Live
Rally your team for CARNAGE as the next Operation battle arrives in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ - Sisters of Carnage! Prepare to face off against the legendary superweapons, Aivela and Esne. Build your elite team of eight or sixteen players and wage war against these twin-sister droids to determine the fate of the galaxy!”  Join us for the fun every Sunday evening at 8pm CST.

As the Branch moves into the next exciting phase, we invite everyone to keep contributing in whatever ways you can. The NOR Spirit is flourishing here, and we hope that together we all can continue to pull together and take the Branch to new heights. Good luck in your gaming adventures and we hope to see you in game! May the Force be with You!
