BDO continues to grow as a game with the release of their new FREE expansion “Valencia”. With this expansion character levels increased to 60, Deep Sea Whale Hunting was introduced as well as many, many more feature upgrades and enhancements like the 2 new classes of Ninjas!

The branch was officially promoted to County status and we have promoted two outstanding members, Kinaria and Frost Dreams to Baroness. Under their guidance we continue to do nightly guild events and weekly major events (fighting end game bosses and guild bosses!)

We hope to grow the ranks some more in the coming weeks and start participating in guild v guild wars and castle sieges!

The Guild Wars 2 branch has enjoyed a month of gobbling up new content, working together to complete achievements, and continuing renovations at the Guild Hall. The world of Tyria continues to unfold with strange and ominous events as experienced during Living Season 3, the appearance of Bloodstone Creatures, and possibly the sightings of ghostly anomalies throughout the land, but in truth we just suspect that Zyera is going crazy.

We have continued running weekly events for guild missions, dungeons, and an assortment of activities for our Sunday afternoon gatherings. We’ve seen a lot of great collaboration between guild members for obtaining difficult to get Tyrian mastery points from fractals and the diving goggles achievement. We continue to plan for raiding, and have reached out to a like-minded guild to form a raiding alliance. Details are still be worked out, so stay tuned for more updates!

After successfully upgrading our market and guild decorations trader, we are setting our sights on the Guild Memorial. This will be a really nice way to honor fallen NOR members and their loved ones. Please keep an eye on the message of the day from the Guild Panel to see how you can help. We congratulate Valikk on his well deserved promotion to Count, Mango, Fana, Aranhawk, and Elyon on their promotions to Knight, and our newest squire Cheese! We appreciate all the contributions they have made to NOR.

The upcoming months continue to present a lot of new and entertaining opportunities in GW2. ArenaNet will be celebrating their four year anniversary, so keep an eye out for sales at the gem store for any goodies you’ve been waiting to pick-up. If you have been thinking about trying out Guild Wars 2, now is terrific time to do so and you can always try it for free. Happy gaming!

The month of August saw the launch of Mod 10, Storm King's Thunder. With it comes a new campaign set in Icewind Dale, a new hardest-ever dungeon with a 3100 minimum item level requirement(!), and some fairly extensive changes to the Guardian Fighter, Hunter Ranger, and Scourge Warlock classes. The mod launched less than a week ago, so we haven't really had time to explore the new content, but it looks like there is enough there to keep things interesting for quite some time.

Rain is taking a break from officer duties, due to increased responsibilities in the real world. (A new job!) He did a great job as an officer in the Neverwinter branch, and Duchess Phelaia, Lord Tundrra, and everyone else in the Neverwinter branch is grateful for his service. Rain, you're welcome to resume active duty any time you want -- and congratulations on your new job!

We also hit our latest Stronghold target: building a Stable and upgrading it to Rank 4. This allows everyone in the guild to add an extra 2,000 Armor Penetration to their stats (which is a lot). We're currently upgrading our Guild Hall to the next level. The next long-term goal is to unlock a third boon structure; probably a Barracks, which will allow everyone to add lots of raw Power to their stats. (This will be more useful to players with very high-end characters who already have enough Armor Penetration to ignore all monster armor.)

Greetings from Overwatch, where it's High Noon all day long!
Several NOR members have started playing Blizzard's new Overwatch game on a regular basis. There are currently about nine of us playing Overwatch: Tyrandil, Phelaia, Ziek, Rabbitskates, Hector, Ojike, Kaurix, Vivi, and Noobicabra.

Several of us (Ziek, Rabbitskates, Phelaia, and myself) have been getting together informally on roughly a semiweekly basis for group play, and a couple of times we managed to pick up one or two of the other NORbies to make a full (or nearly full) NOR team. Since the regular members of this informal team have been running Neverwinter dungeons together for a long time, it's been easy for us to adapt our team tactics to Overwatch. Phel does a phenomenal job keeping us up as Lucio, Rabbitskates swings effectively between support (Zenyatta) and tanking (D.Va), and Ziek wields a lethally accurate hook as Roadhog. (I mostly run around the flanks and die a lot as Reaper or Genji.) If you're on around 10:00-12:00 EST on Monday, Friday, or Saturday, look for us on Battle.net -- it's a heckuva lot of fun!

Overwatch also has its own chat channel in Discord (under NOMAD) and a lively section on the NOR forum (also under NOMAD).

Many exciting things have occurred since our last newsletter! The Dark vs Light Event is in full swing and we’re working hard on all the achievements! We’ve been helping each other as needed and some of us are currently working on knocking out the hard modes that are required.  Running flashpoints has been the path of choice for many of us who want to level our toons quickly.  If you need an xp boost, we likely have a few to spare so let us know!

Join us in the raiding fun and knock out some of the achievements for the event or just come for the fun!  If you have not had the opportunity to run some or all of the Ops, join us on Tuesday evenings, 9pm server time for a fun time!  Anyone level 55 and up is welcome.  Don’t let “potato” gear or “I haven’t ever run before, I don’t know what I’m doing” stop you.  We’re here to teach you the ropes and get you killed….er we mean help you have fun!  If you’d rather be a little better prepared before a run, talk to Intisar, Galaxiya, or Vasinar and we’ll chat with you about what it’s like to raid and what you may want to know beforehand that would be helpful.  There’s always something to learn in SWTOR and we’re happy to help.

Exciting Promotions!  Congratulations to Teigra who was promoted to Champion!  Teigra has done a great job of helping others when needed and is lots of fun to run with!  Congratulations to Pooja who was promoted to Knight!  Pooja has been a great addition to raids! We’ve enjoyed running with her and we look forward to more!

As the Branch moves into the next exciting phase, we invite everyone to keep contributing in whatever ways you can. The NOR Spirit is flourishing here, and we hope that together we all can continue to pull together and take the Branch to new heights.
