Lair of the Mad Mage

Progression Run Requirements
Everyone Tanks Healers DPS
  • 100k+ Power
  • Armor Penetration Capped (68k)
  • Accuracy Capped (68k)
  • Any of the Spy Guild's helms (+5% damage increase)
  • Discord for hearing. Mic not required.
  • Defense Capped (68k)
  • Hybrid single target DPS/Tank Loadout
  • Hybrid single target DPS/Heals Loadout
  • Single target full damage loadout
  • Critical Strike Capped (68k)
  • Combat Advantage > 80k
Boss 1: Arcturia Notes
Phase 1
  • Standard Tank and Spank for 3 healthbars
  • Do not use Dailies or Artifacts during this phase
  • Use At-Wills only to bring down her 4th Healthbar
Mimic Lane
  • 4 mimic lanes. All mimics must be defeated.
  • Each DPS solos a lane. Healer & Tank team up in 4th lane.
  • Tank and Healer combined must equal a DPS in damage for this portion.
  • If a mimic reaches the middle a Butterfly Golem spawns. They hit hard and you probably won't be able to kill them. Imperative this does not happen.
  • It looks like each lane will need to deal with 2-3 mimics.
  • Mimics are immune to all control effects.
  • Do not move to other lanes to help. This is a party DPS check and each lane must be handled independently.
Cocoon
  • 1 player is cocooned.
  • Cocooned player needs to announce they are cocooned.
  • Healer needs to fully heal cocooned player
  • Rest of team can either run from cocoon to avoid it or huddle on cocoon if they can as a group mitigate the damage.
Phase 2
  • Return to DPS on boss
  • There is a second mimic phase, unsure of spot.
Mimic Phase 2
  • Same as first Mimic Phase

Tank: Ziek - Fighter
Healer: Fathertyme - Cleric
DPS: Tyrandil - Barbarian
DPS: Destroyer - Barbarian
DPS: Phelaia - Wizard

From the entrance to the first boss was fairly smooth sailing. Mobs all melted quickly with little to no issues. I can't say I checked but I think everyone was at or near the recommended stats listed above.

Once we got to Arcturia things got a bit more difficult. Arcturia herself wasn't so bad, it was her mimic phase. A few Mimics always snuck through and the butterfly golems are very problamatic at that point.

I don't think we are far from being able to get this done. A few adjustments to our rotations and some practice and we should be smooth sailing.

Since our attempt I have done some more reading on handling this fight and will update the above guide soon.
