Crafting
Re: Crafting
Because of the guild level, pretty much all quests from here out will require us to kill something level 50 and up. But things like level 50 rifts can be done by people lower level than 50.

I think Las is saying guild weeklies are for everyone, except those that require level 50 rifts... I think? If that's why you're asking huh.Roxanne wrote:Huh?Lasarian wrote:Pretty much everyone I think, except for the few that specify level 50 Rifts.Roxanne wrote:Are the guild weeklies for 50 and above only?

I have a character, and a Rift Lite account. I've been pretty busy though so I haven't been around lately.Roxanne wrote:Are you playing Rift now, OJ? Re: Crafting
Sharayce is Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Mining. Still baby ranks in all three.
Phaeae just hit level 10 and I haven't picked professions. Honestly I'm not very up on how it all works, what professions make what, exactly which gathering skills I need for what manufacturing skills etc.
Also I haven't been playing Rift much because every time I log in, I seem to be the only guild member online. I need to try and sync with the other Rift folks, if I can.
Being I'm an incurable altoholic, I'll be starting a warrior and a rogue soon. Sharayce is a cleric and Phaeae is a mage.

Re: Crafting
So, the following is a list of recommended crafting combinations. It is recommended and not required but it will make your crafting life easier...
Recommended: Primary profession - Gathering skills needed.
Apothecary - Foraging and Butchering
Armorsmithing - Butchery and Mining
Artificing - Foraging and Mining
Outfitter - Butchery (Also requires cloth dropped by humanoids)
Runecrafting - None
Weaponsmithing - Foraging and Mining
Since Outfitting requires only 1 gathering and runecrafting requires none, you will often see these paired together on a character.
If you combine Weaponsmithing, Armorsmithing, and Mining (like you show on Sharayce), then you will need to acquire your foraged wood (for weapon hafts) and your hides (for armor lining) from another source.
One way would be to buy them off the AH. Alternatively, you could have one character that is a gatherer (Foraging, Mining, and Butchery) that gathers for all of your other characters. If you do that, it wont matter what combinations you do. I do not believe there are any crafted items that bind to the creator; so, this is viable.
What do they make?
Apothecary makes potions, dyes, philters and Serums.
Armorsmithing makes Chain and plate armor, shields, and Str.Wis cloaks.
Outfitting makes Leather and cloth armor, Bags, and Int/Dex cloaks.
Weaponsmithing makes swords, daggers, axes and hammers.
Artificer makes rings, neck pieces, wands and staves.
Runecrafters make runes that augment other items.
Hopefully this answered your questions heh. If not let me know:)
