We are gonna need to gather a whole lotta Influence for the foreseeable future, regardless of what boon structure we build. Per the Neverwinter Wiki, all boon structures have the same Influence costs. For Ranks 1 through 5, those costs are:

Rank 1: 63,000
Rank 2: 70,000
Rank 3: 77,000
Rank 4: 90,000
Rank 5: 111,000

So we will need to gather approximately 210,000 Influence to build a boon structure and upgrade it to rank 3 (with perhaps a modest discount for belonging to an alliance).

Therefore, for this Stronghold Saturday and all Stronghold Saturdays to come for a while now, I suggest that we organize into large groups and go Influence farming en masse. If we can do it in a big herd, it will be much more time-efficient for all concerned, and it should allow us to tackle some of the larger heroic encounters -- for fun, and to break up the monotony, if nothing else.
