It's doable at most any level, though being 55 does help with Ops, Battlemasters and such. I've gotten my conquest a couple of times on my under-55s just doing the basics (heroics, starfighter, kill x on y planet, flashpoints etc.) I've finally gotten some crafters high enough to start getting points that way. Admittedly, I've only gotten a personal conquest about 4 or 5 times as I'm constantly switching between my 16 alts
and finding the conquests that have things I could do. Just find the conquest quests you like doing and grind. Also, just give a shout out and any of us will be more than happy to help you get those points
As for gear, once you hit 55, hit me or any other guildy up and we'll walk you through Oricon. That will get you most of your gear you'll need for HM FPs and most ops and get you ready to level to 60.
