Pre-Alpha Test Begins

CU starts pre-Alpha testing tomorrow, 10/15. If you have Alpha access (or internal test access), you should join us. There's not much there yet, more of a social function IMO, but they could use the load testing.

Oh, Talo, you have the guild account right? I don't know when we can register the name, maybe not even until Beta, but I'd love to show the flag at the earliest opportunity.

Important to note that the pre-alpha is an ENGINE test, not really a gameplay test. CU uses server-side physics processing and tracking, whereas most other games are client side. That alone is something of a massive undertaking.

cant remember, does our guild account allow for any of the pre-Alpha or Alpha access?

No. I believe it has beta access only. Alpha would have been the $1200 package.

I went back through the pledge levels and none of the guild packages actually included alpha access. They were all beta only. So you'll have to wait until the spring.
