Character Names in Guild Chat

After playing a couple of days, I've noticed that it's a pain trying to figure out who someone is when they Hail.

I propose that whenever you log in and Hail, please include your NOR handle. I.E. Hail *NOR/ <Roxanne>. This way, everyone will know who you are without resorting to pulling up the guild roster and checking it that way.

I'm not sure if the game allows the use of Macro's, I'll have to do some research on that.

I am in agreement with this proposal as it will help me and my future officers help identify people with their NOR name for the roster and guild notes on the in game roster.

In no way do I want this to feel like we're calling members out on what they use for their account login, it's just an easier way we can recognize each other at least for the time being.

Agreed, that is what we have done in the past and that practice should still be used. its very helpful.

As is mine.. if yours isn't it might be helpful to also use the note spot in the guild screen to (as Seyella did) to put your NOR name.

Yes! Use the note please! It helps a lot when someone is wondering who you are. They may not see your Hail *NOR// <NAME>

I plan on doing it even though my character name is in my login name.

Everyone but recruits should be able to edit user notes for now, to help get things organized. "Member" rank can also guild invite for the purpose of grabbing people already in NOR but still needing an ingame tag. Potential recruits should be sent to an Officer online or message me via game mail, please.

With luck, there will soon be an AddOn for showing the character name and not the account name!
