Alliance Charter: Tuxedo T-Shirt Alliance

Post by Tundrra »

Alliance Charter
At all times, respect the mantra of the Tuxedo T-Shirt Alliance:

"We're trying to be formal, but we're here to party."

So have a good time. But don't let your good time step on the good time of another person. Beyond that, here are a few rules that present the non-negotiable aspects to your participation within the Alliance. The rules are meant to provide a safe space for a very diverse group of people.

1) Don't be a dick. Or a Kevin. Being both is right out. This includes everyone we interact with. Don't make the Tuxedo T-Shirt Alliance look bad in public.

2) Be inclusive of everyone. No hate speech or language aimed at being derogatory to a person's age, gender, sexuality, race, nationality or anything else. Diversity is the spice of life.

3) Be inclusive in the game. Don't hate or exclude people for gearscores, ilevels, etc. No "HDPS only", epeen measuring, or other forms of elitism. Don't mandate that only those with certain builds, iLevels or items can participate. If someone meets the requirements the game sets to do content, then they have every right to do the content.

4) No fighting, game bashing, whining, complaining, excessive profanity, politics, religion, etc in Alliance chat. Keep Alliance chat classy. No one's going to jump down your throat for dropping an occasional F-bomb, but there's no need to race to the bottom. Please know the difference between a discussion and an argument. Please have discussions in Alliance chat. Please take arguments to private channels.

5) No cheating or exploiting. Play as it was intended when you're rocking the Tuxedo T-Shirt.

6) Guilds are free to govern themselves as they see fit. However, keep all your guild drama, politics, and dirty laundry to your guild.

7) Despite the game forcing us into a hierarchy, there is no formal chain of command here. This is an Alliance by the people for the people, and everyone who's willing to participate in a civil manner has a voice in all the discussions.

The concept of the TuxedoT/Guild Alliance chat is that it's a resource to be used if you'd like to form groups for dungeons, runs, PvP, Stronghold content or just general conversation. We've come together to make Neverwinter more fun for everyone.

Nice. Seems like we've fallen in with a good bunch of people.

Look forward to seeing how the Alliance goes...once the bugs are ironed out :D

The alliance now works:)
some quick tips:
  • To talk in the new alliance area type /all
  • Alliance chat defaults to the same green as guild chat. You can change the color with the little gear settings icon.
  • With the combined 13 guilds there are easily 3000 players potentially to group with, but chat can get busy so you may want to turn it off or create some quiet chat tabs for just guild and party. Same settings gear icon, to turn on/off chat boxes and create new tabs.
  • When joining the alliance there is a 24hr probation period where we will not get the new alliance perks, so we will have to wait a little longer before upgrading our GuildHall, and free up a bunch of coffer space.
  • If you don't have the storage room for guild donation items, you can now donate to other coffers (however if you can save em for our own coffer then please do so)
  • You can now shop other guild's MarketPlace, and join their DragonFlights.

I don't think it actually exists anymore. It's been off for quite awhile now. The domain is also available for purchase.

Hail!

The creators of that site are no longer in the Alliance so they no longer maintain the Alliance forum. Yesterday, Unrepentant left the Alliance as well.
Ember Legion (formerly Win or lose we booze) and Unrepentant were the two guilds that formed this alliance. However, I am noticing a trend in the game. Most Guilds when they reach Stronghold 20, all structure Rank 10, tend to leave alliances because there's nothing in it for them anymore. They don't need building discounts or experience bonuses anymore so they leave to open a slot for guilds that do.
I'm just glad that Uey didn't take any of the other guilds with them like Ember Legion did. (they took Scattered Empire with them)

Guardians of the Grand Hall invited a new guild in last night, and by new I mean NEW! Formed just a week ago:)

I'm not sure if the Alliance Discord is dead like the forums are but chat seems fairly active. Lots of hunting parties being formed and training runs of Castle Ravenloft are popping up.
