NOR CCG League Fall 2013 Tournament Rules

Post by Talolan »

:hailnor

Alright, the final participant list for the NOR CCG League's Fall 2013 SolForge Tournament is:
1 Talolan (in Solforge as webjr)
2 Tundrra
3 Lasarian
4 sokolov
5 Lakasha
6 Runesire
7 rallis
8 zipin
9 Ojike
10 NimmRiggers (in Solforge as Nimm)
11 Roxanne
12 Zallis (in Solforge as Zotash)

Tournament Format
The tournament will operate in a round-robin format, meaning everybody will play everybody else. At the conclusion of the Round-Robin tournament, the top 6 players will play in a Championship tournament and the bottom six will play in a Consolation tournament. The post-round robin tournaments will operate as elimination tournaments and the two top teams in each tournament will receive a first round bye.

Each match will consist of a best-of-three format between each player and one other player every week. For example, if Talolan plays Lasarian, they will play until one of them wins two games. That player will be declared the winner.

Match Reporting
At the end of your weekly match, both players should email or PM Talolan (talolan@newoutriders.org), or post their results on the weekly scheduling post. Please include how many games each player won (2-1, 2-0). Both players should submit their match results, if only one player submits their results, that player's word will be taken as fact.

If possible, please include a one-paragraph summary of your matches. It could be a scouting report on your opponent for future players, it could be what you did wrong in your match, it could be commentary on your deck or your opponent's deck.

SolForge Specific Rules
During the pre-tournament phase we had a limit of 20 games played. This was an arbitrary limit to slow down early adopters from getting a large card lead before the tournament since we're all new players.

There is no games limit during the CCG season. Play your scheduled match, obviously. But outside of your scheduled match, you may play as many games as you want. When playing your scheduled opponent make sure both parties know you are playing your tournament match.

Please continue to remain on the FREE side of Free-to-Play. Do not spend your real-life money on SolForge gold for card packs. You may, of course, spend whatever silver you earn from your daily login, and win rewards.

That should be it for rules. If you have questions, I can answer them and add them here.
