Keith Kanneg has shared the Road Map for the first part of the year!

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=944434

Check out the link for details, but here is short version:

March 13: Game Update 5.8
  • Izax the Destroyer, the final boss of the Gods from the Machine Operation available.
  • Conquest revamp with new missions, interface, daily objectives, and a Conquest Vendor with decorations and boost to raise a companion's influence level to 50.
  • Companions: Arcann romance, Vector returns for Agents, Ashara returns for Inquisitors.
April: Game Update 5.9
  • Flashpoint: The Nathema Conspiracy, visit the ruined world that created the Sith Emperor and continue the Traitor storyline.
  • Companions: Felix Iresso returns for Consular. Mako and Akaavi return for Bounty Hunters and Smugglers.
Keith also teased some more subscriber rewards and the not too distant milestone of Update 6.0, which is sure to be an expansion of some sort.

Speaking of subscriber rewards, don't miss out on the Share the Love promotion going on this month:

http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20180213

This promotion is for 30 days of free sub time for current, new and returning subscribers who sign up by February 27. They're also gonna throw in an armor set and speeder. If you're already a sub, this is great offer of free time. If you're looking for an excuse to hop in, it's pretty nice too!

This week we got a preview of the upcoming conquest changes due March 13th.

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=945216
Hey folks,

In Game Update 5.8, we’re giving the Conquest system a pretty big overhaul. This thread is meant to talk through all of the changes that are coming and to answer any follow-up questions that you have! For starters, we wanted to resolve the reward delivery issues we have had in the past. While the team was in there, they decided to give the system a touch up.

The user interface (UI) is the first place you will notice changes, as the entire Conquest UI has been reworked. You will notice that the top bar has been updated to separate your Solo and Guild Conquests from each other. The solo tab will clearly list the current Conquest Objectives and your progress towards your personal goal. The Guild tab (called Guild Invasions) will show the planetary leaderboards and Guild rewards along with two new things. A section which shows a contribution leaderboard within your Guild and a button ‘Current Conquerors’ which is a list of what planets are being conquered by what Guild.

There are a number of changes coming to Conquest objectives:
  • Completing objectives will now award credits, experience points, and Command Experience in addition to their Conquest points.
  • Conquest point values for all objectives have been rebalanced across the board.
  • In addition to one-time and repeatable, there are now also daily objectives. Some current objectives will change type with 5.8.
  • The Invasion bonus for Conquest objectives has been removed.
  • The Stronghold bonus still applies but has been changed. Each owned Stronghold counts for a 25% bonus, up to a max of 150%. Sorry to all you “Stronghold full of chairs” owners out there.
  • Weekly Conquests are no longer on a set schedule and will be randomly selected each week. The exception to this rule is that Conquests that coincide with recurring events will still be on a set schedule (such as the Gree event).

On the Guild Conquest front, we have gone even further on changes. We have untied the Guild rewards from the Conquest leaderboards, with the exception of the Guild in first place as they will still receive the Conqueror title and planetary bonuses. A big change is that now every planet falls into one of three designated Invasion Targets. These targets differ by the minimum Conquest Points thresholds that we call “Planetary Yields.” These thresholds determine the minimum points a Guild has to earn to receive those Conquests rewards. The higher the yield the harder it is for the Guild to receive the reward, but also means a better reward.

We made this change to encourage more leaderboard competition among similarly sized Guilds, smaller Guilds going after smaller Yields, etc. Note that this is not a restriction, just a recommendation. If a larger Guild wants to go for lesser rewards in a smaller yield, they can, and the same is true of a smaller Guild trying to go for the highest yield.

This is an overview of the Conquest changes you can expect to see in Game Update 5.8! Let us know your thoughts and any questions you may have.
I'm pretty pleased with these changes since they'll give us a chance to complete guild conquest goals again! That they've uncoupled your personal conquest total from stronghold completion is also a nice (if overdue) change.

The roadmap teased additional rewards but aside from the companion influence booster, we'll have to wait to see what those are.

Here is the summer road map for SWTOR:

http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20180516

Aside from the Rishi stronghold, it looks like the main focus will be on PVP improvements, with the next story starting in the Fall.

I won't sugar-coat it, that's a long, long way off.

Keith Kanneg recently raised the question of how folks want to receive SWTOR content, in smaller, more regular updates (which seems to have been the model for KotET) or in larger full fledged expansions. I suspect they're leaning towards the latter now, which sadly means the we're headed into the kind of content drought that is all too common in MMOs.

If this is the cost for getting story updates that last longer than 5 minutes and not having to wait months between raid bosses, it's a price I'm willing to pay I guess.

SWTOR has announced the launch date for Game Update 5.10: Jedi Under Siege: December 11
On the desolate planet of Ossus, a small, top secret Jedi colony holds ancient knowledge. Their survival and fate are in your hands in ‘Jedi Under Siege’ – coming December 11th:

http://www.swtor.com/eternal-throne/updates
The world of Ossus promises lots of surprises, a daily quest hub and a gear catch-up system to help folks who haven't wanted to grind Galactic Command. There is another gear grind beyond the catch up gear, but that equipment is really only necessary for Nightmare mode ops content which we are not doing, so I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Eric Musco has also said the Double XP/CXP will be returning December 20th, SWTOR's &th anniversary. Start hoarding your CXP packs now!

It should be nice big patch with lots to do. Come check it out!
